Welcome to CurieuCity#2 – ‘Dive into the heart of biodiversity and the wonders of nature’.

We look forward to seeing you from 27 to 29 September in the Marais Wiels district for an unforgettable experience immersed in the world of biodiversity and natural sciences.

In this world where art meets science, you will explore an immersive reality where you will discover different forms of life with, among others, the Video game Everything, the Diversity of the microworld by Pierre Devahif, the projection Reclaiming Vision the Classifications & Kinship by Michèle Loneux, the installation All The Trees or take a walk to discover the house sparrow, without  forgetting about  the workshop Mission Marsh Wiels: Investigate the health of our aquatic ecosystem.

You will also be introduced to ingenious ways of communication between flora and fauna with Antoine Bertin’s Aquatic Conversations. Besides communication, don’t miss out the innovative uses of fungi, which could well pave the way for a better world. Come to the Fungi Night (Fungi Talks, Culinary Performance – Anagram ,The Mushroom Speaks). Get inspired by the Fungi expo (Symbiotic Veil, Muffa Bar, Textile work from “Towards a Ruined Theater”) or try your hand at an encounter with a mycorrhizal fungus.

We also provide you with another interesting encounter opportunity : come and meet the ‘rotifers’ in Rotifer (A)live! Those microorganisms that are masters of survival, whose genetic diversity, essential for species resilience, could well be the key to the future of human life in space.

Our festival is completely free and open to all, but some activities require advance registration due to their popularity. So don’t wait too long as places are going fast!  –
